Dating in parts from the 17th century, the hotel overlooks the picturesque River Ant, on the ancient Wayford Bridge crossing point. Offering a exceptional location for holidaymakers and business travellers alike, many rooms offer attractive views of the river and its beautiful surroundings.

Relax in our warm comfy lounges or in the restaurant,a variety of interesting cuisine is on offer. During the warmer months our large terrace offers the ideal place to watch the world go by.

We have some dog friendly garden king rooms, but please call us before arrival as manager authorisation is required and we need to confirm the request. Notrooms are suitable and our classic doubles, twins and family room are strictly not dog friendly and customers with pets will be refused as will such bookings without prior confirmation.

We are unable to accept bookings with caravans due to parking limitations or allow non residents to sleep in their vehicles on our car park. If you have a commercial or a larger vehicle please call at time of booking so we can make arrangements or advise if we cannot.

The hotel day starts from hour 15:00 and ends at 11:00.

The hotel has been adapted for those guests with mobility problems to provide access throughout the ground-floor areas. 5 bedrooms are situated on the ground floor, one of which has been designed for wheelchair use. If you would like to reserve one of the wheelchair-accessible rooms, please contact the property to confirm its availability.

The hotel does not accept American Express.

Half-board rates include 2 courses. Steak is excluded.

Pets are welcomed strictly upon agreement with the hotel and can only be accommodated in a limited number of pet-friendly Garden rooms. Only dogs can be accommodated as pets at the property. We no longer accept pets in our classic double or twin rooms in the main building.

Please call or directly email the property in advance to confirm availability, and only bring your pet when this is confirmed via reply. Please note a fee of GBP 10 per pet per night will be charged. One dog per booking unless agreed with the manager in advance.

Check-ins after 22:00 cannot be accommodated.

Please note Family room has a capacity of maximum two adults and one child. It is not possible to add further beds to this room and for families of more than three persons additional rooms are required. ;
Standard King Room. This double room has a private entrance, soundproofing and seating area. This room type is pet friendly by guests need to confirm with the hotel before arrival. ;
King Room with Balcony. The double room features river views. The unit offers 1 bed.
